Going Away

Invited to create an installation at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, France, this large scale group project was the result of the Paris Atelier workshop from GSAPP's Laboratory for Applied Building Sciences. Going Away uses an undulating landscape of balloons to create an immersive environment, one which is impossible to inhabit or move through without effect on one's surroundings. This heightened self awareness is compounded by the exponential number of reflections, as the topography of balloons creates a new space of density, light and air.

Team members: Harry Byron, Sissily Harrell, Mondrian Hsieh, Claire Kao, Vahe Markosian, Taylor Miller, Arkadiusz Piegdon, Diego Rodriguez, Tianhui Shen, Jim Stoddart, and Davi Weber
